Annual Healthcare Environment Forum Scheduled at Storr Office Environments for December 2, 2008
Raleigh, NC, November 24, 2008 — Storr Office Environments will host its annual Healthcare Environment Forum December 2, 2008 from 8:30 am to 2 pm in its Raleigh headquarters for healthcare environment designers, managers, and space planners. Participants can earn continuing education units for any of the courses they attend. This year’s course titles include “Experiences in Outpatient Care,” “Environments for Cancer Care: User Centered Design Principles,” and “Movement Toward Wellness in the Workplace.” Attendees may tour the Nurture© Oncology Mobile Showroom and Storr’s on-site displays presented by Details, Wieland, Globalcare, Cabot Wrenn, Krug, and Carolina Business Furniture for design information and ideas.
“Because of our knowledge of the healthcare environment and our close proximity to so many healthcare facilities, we feel compelled to source and host any pertinent training regarding the design and use of these working spaces,” said Scott Bosman, General Manager of Storr. Since healthcare facility construction is one of the few categories of construction still strong after the real estate crunch, the need for industry-specific working environment training is crucial. Architects attending can file for 1 CEU for each course they complete; interior designers may file for .1 credit.
