| Storr Invited to Support Annual Emerging Issues Forum |
Storr Office Environments is pleased to support the Emerging Issues Forum again for 2009. This year's event is being held February 9 and 10 at the Raleigh Convention Center. Storr will be providing all tables and seating for the speaking platform, volunteer staff stations, speaker refreshment area and private meeting station. Speakers at this year's event include NC Governor Bev Purdue, former NC Governor Jim Hunt, and U.S. Senator Chris Dodd. Topics revolve around the this year's title: Changing Landscapes: Building the Good Growth State?
"Storr provides solutions to two critical issues tangentially related to North Carolina's growth," said Paul Estes, Director of Higher Education at Storr. "One: job loss has created an aftershock related to office furniture - what are bankrupt companies doing with excess furniture? We need to be environmentally responsible and make sure it's never going to see a landfill" Estes said.
"Two: we are a culture that rewards important-yet-sedentary skills," Estes continued. Obesity is an epidemic, and with 21 people per hour on average moving to our state, we could bankrupt our health systems. Storr wants to offer solutions in the workplace to combat this epidemic using tools such as Steelcase's Walkstation and other ergonomic design solutions."

Because of the huge response to this year's forum, those who are unable to attend in person can participate via streaming web audio for the sessions, including sending questions by email to be answered during each speaker's Q&A session.
