Storr Records Management Becomes First in USA with Hand-Vascular-Pattern-Recognition Vault Security
Local Records Management Provider Secures and Protects Records with Advanced Technology
Raleigh, NC — Storr Records Management, a division of Storr Office Environments, announces the completion of the nation’s first records and data storage vault to use a highly-advanced security system called hand vascular pattern recognition (HVPR) technology from Identica Corp for credentialed access. The vault, built inside Storr’s Raleigh Records Management Center at 10800 World Trade Boulevard, provides clients with assurance of credentialed access and guaranteed environmental stability for data and records.
The two-story vault is constructed of concrete modules assembled on site. Storr has incorporated state-of-the-art environment control technology, badge-controlled personnel access points, a separate FM200 gas fire suppression system, and new HVPR controlled vault access technology. “Storr’s vault storage clients are assured of records protection,” says Greg Lask, President and CEO of International Vault.
“Storr recognizes the importance of secure, cost-effective records storage for our clients,” said Tom Vande Guchte, CEO of Storr. “We were approached by our customers to create a trust-worthy environment for records storage without charging exorbitant fees for entry or exit. We were able to achieve this for our clients and contribute to the local economy by selecting a North Carolina vault provider.”
Storr Records Management Director, Don Keller, said “Storr is a forward-thinking service provider. Identica recognized this, deploying this new security technology in a very short delivery period. This type of vein reader technology is mostly used in military and port authority installations. We’ve already filled about thirty percent of the vault’s first-floor capacity.”
Storr is recognized as an industry leader and currently is the only local supplier of records management and storage with a Certified Records Manager onsite at its data center.
