NOTICE OF DATA EVENT

 

On May 31, 2024, Storr became aware of suspicious activity within its environment impacting certain systems.  Storr took steps to secure its environment and launched an investigation to determine the nature and scope of the activity.  Through the investigation, it was learned that, between May 30, 2024, and May 31, 2024, an unauthorized actor may have had access to certain systems and acquired information from those systems.

On September 24, 2024, it was determined that some information related to certain current and former employees and other individuals was present in Storr’s systems.  Although Storr has no evidence of any identity theft or fraud in connection with this incident, Storr began providing notice to those individuals whose information was impacted.  While the information impacted varies by individual, the types of information that could have been impacted includes: Social Security number, driver’s license number and/or state identification number, financial account information, health insurance information, medical information, and date of birth.

Storr is providing notice and complimentary access to credit monitoring services to individuals whose information was impacted in this event via a letter to their home address.  Individuals who have questions about this incident can contact our dedicated call center at 855-285-7690 between the hours of 8:00 am to 8:00 pm ET, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.

Storr encourages potentially impacted individuals to remain vigilant against incidents of identity theft and fraud, to review account statements, and to monitor their credit reports for suspicious activity. Storr is providing potentially impacted individuals with contact information for the three major credit reporting agencies, as well as providing advice on how to obtain free credit reports and how to place fraud alerts and security freezes on their credit files.  The relevant contact information is below:

Instances of known or suspected identity theft should also be reported to law enforcement or the individual’s state Attorney General.
