Understanding the 2015 NC Existing Building Code
| Learning Objectives:
- Participants will understand the intent of the 2015 Existing NC Building Code to achieve compliance with minimum requirements to safeguard the public health, safety as they are affected by the repair alteration, change of occupancy, addition and relocation of existing buildings.
- Participants will be able to classify the type of work being done (Alteration Level 1, Alteration Level 2, Alteration Level 3) and will be able to determine the minimum life safety requirements accordingly.
- Participants will understand when to apply the 2015 Existing NC Building Code versus the 2012 NC Building Code.
- Participants will discover major differences between the 2015 Existing Building Code and the 2012 Rehabilitation Code.
