Welcome to our 2021 Holiday Donation Page. Considering all the hardships the last few years have brought, Storr wanted to offer a more meaningful and impactful gift to you. Storr is fortunate to be in a position to give, so we were hoping you could help us positively impact the community. We will donate $50 to the charity you choose below. You can make your impact globally, regionally, or locally.

Impacting Youth

Hope Reins

Hope Reins pairs kids in crisis with rescued horses to inspire hope and real healing for every child. We support kids ranging in age from 5-18 who struggle with crisis like severe trauma, physical, emotional, or sexual abuse, cancer, suicide, debilitating anxiety, or living in homelessness, poverty, group home or foster care. Here a one-on-one connection with a magnificent horse serves to comfort the pain and sorrow that is all too common in a hurting kid’s day-to-day life.

The Institute for Developing Young Leaders (IDYL)

IDYL provides a rigorous, stimulating comprehensive educational experience that promotes school success for every child by addressing social, emotional and mental wellness and fostering a strong sense of community. We provide a high standards learning environment that promotes academic and leadership skills and content mastery. IDYL was started to help minority students move from oppression to opportunity. Storr partners with IDYL throughout the year to help with fundraising, tutoring, and special events.

Haven House

Founded in 1973, Haven House operates 11 programs that help more than 1,200 youth in need each year overcome their challenges and find a path to success. Whether they are experiencing homelessness, a crisis at home or school, gang involvement, or problems involving the juvenile justice system, we help youth identify their goals, connect with needed resources, and build skills needed for long-term success.

Durham Rescue Mission

The Durham Rescue Mission was founded in November 1974 by Dr. and Mrs. Ernie Mills with one goal in mind: to mend shattered lives by restoring families and giving hope in Durham, Raleigh and Chapel Hill. We’ve remained dedicated to this mission for the past 44 years. Today, our Durham homeless shelter and urban rescue mission has room to house and provide food, vocational and spiritual training, counseling and much more to 400 men, women and children in the Triangle area. Storr partners with the Durham Rescue Mission throughout the year on fundraising and special events.

Raleigh Rescue Mission

Raleigh Rescue Mission is a Christian organization that helps rebuild the lives of homeless men, women and children in our community by ministering to their physical, emotional and spiritual needs. While at the Mission, our clients receive safe shelter, nourishing meals, counseling, medical care in our on-site medical clinic, substance abuse recovery services, educational, vocational and life skill classes in our on-site Adult Learning Center and childcare in our on-site, licensed preschool center to help them on their journey to recovery.

Established in Raleigh, North Carolina, in 1996, Jobs for Life addresses the root causes of unemployment, underemployment, and disengagement with work by uniting churches, businesses, and community organizations and facilitating positive transformation within lives and communities. We believe in relational community and transformation, and hold firm to the belief that change can truly happen when we all work together.

Food Bank of NC

The Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina (the Food Bank) is a nonprofit organization that has provided food for our friends and neighbors facing hunger in 34 counties in central and eastern North Carolina for 40 years. The Food Bank is an affiliate member of Feeding America, the nation’s leading domestic hunger relief charity. In terms of total food distributed, the Food Bank ranks in the top 15 nationally among 200 Feeding America food banks and first in North Carolina. Simply put, the Food Bank works every day to provide food to people in need while building solutions to end hunger in our communities.

Habitat for Humanity of NC

Founded in 2008, Habitat NC facilitates increased housing production and neighborhood revitalization efforts by coordinating advocacy activities, providing training and technical support opportunities, aiding in disaster recovery, and engaging in resource development that benefits our affiliates statewide. We believe that everyone needs a decent, affordable place to live are welcome to help with our work, regardless of race, religion, age, gender, political views or any of the other distinctions that too often divide people.

World Vision is a global Christian humanitarian organization that helps children, families, and their communities reach their full potential by addressing the causes of poverty and injustice. We serve every child we can – of any faith or none.

Charity Water

charity: water is a non-profit organization bringing clean and safe drinking water to people in developing countries. When a community gets access to clean water, it can improve health, increase access to food, grow local economies, and help kids spend more time in school. The water crisis is huge, but it is solvable. We work with local experts and community members to find the best sustainable solution in each place where we work, whether it’s a well, a piped system, a BioSand Filter, or a system for harvesting rainwater. And with every water point we fund, our partners coordinate sanitation and hygiene training and establish a local Water Committee to help keep water flowing for years to come.

Hope International

Hope International’s mission is to invest in the dreams of families in the world’s underserved communities through microfinance loans. We share the hope of Christ as we provide biblically based training, savings services, and loans that restore dignity and break the cycle of poverty. We believe families in poverty have the talents and skills to provide for their families. What they don’t have is a lump sum of money to invest in their potential—by paying school fees, saving for the future, or investing in businesses. Your donation will help HOPE provide opportunities for families living in underserved communities around the world.

Youth Villages

Youth Villages provides help for children and young people across the United States who face a wide range of emotional, mental and behavioral problems. We work to find solutions using proven treatment models that strengthen the child’s family and support systems and dramatically improve their long-term success. Youth Villages helped more than 30,000 young people and their families this year.

Children’s Home Society

At Children’s Home Society, we provide families with the support and resources they need to be a forever family, with services ranging from adoption and foster care to parent education and teen pregnancy prevention to post adoption support for families. CHS believes in the power of family to transform lives and communities.

The Partnership for Children of Guilford County

The Partnership for Children of Guilford County is working toward a future where every child in Guilford County enters school safe, healthy and ready to succeed. Through the use of public dollars and private donations, we collaborate with existing community programs and create new ones. These programs measurably strengthen families and improve the lives of children.

Winston-Salem Rescue Mission

For over 50 years as a Christ-centered ministry, the WS Rescue Mission has been working to meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of thousands of hurting people in the Triad area so that we might proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ and bring glory to God. As a non-denominational ministry, we provide services for anyone who calls on us for help regardless of race, religion, and cultural or ethnic background.

Horse Power

Horse Power is a therapeutic riding facility in High Point that works commonly with wounded veterans, at risk youth, and children/adults who may need a little extra help. Through riding and being around horses children learn necessary social skills, emotional intelligence exercises, as well as fine motor skills. For some wounded warriors riding these horses is the first time they have felt peace in a long time.

Second Harvest Food Bank

At Second Harvest, we believe EVERYONE DESERVES TO EAT. Our work focuses on addressing the immediate need for food assistance, as well as the root causes of food insecurity and poverty. Second Harvest is proud to serve 18 Northwest North Carolina counties as a vital source of food and support services for 430+ local food assistance programs. The nearly 36+ million meals that we and our on-the-ground partners provide each year are vital source of nutrition for food insecure families.
