Project Scope
Storr Office Environments partnered with SAFEchild to create a space where hope and healing can truly thrive. Completed in August 2023, this project transformed SAFEchild’s disjointed facilities into a unified environment designed to support their vital mission. By consolidating operations into one cohesive space, SAFEchild can now serve triple the number of children and double the number of families annually, significantly increasing their ability to provide essential services. The newly designed facility includes larger waiting areas, more interview and exam rooms, and dedicated spaces for infants and toddlers, allowing multiple families to access services simultaneously. This expansion not only reduces wait times but also ensures a more seamless experience for staff and the families who rely on their care.
This collaboration is about more than just functionality—it’s about creating a place where SAFEchild’s community feels seen, supported, and cared for. With thoughtful design choices that promote healing and well-being, the new facility is not only efficient but also fosters a sense of safety and comfort for families in need. By transforming their space, Storr and the project’s partners have helped SAFEchild strengthen their impact, providing a welcoming environment that empowers them to deliver essential support to children and families in need across Wake County. The new space is a testament to how design can drive meaningful change.
