In early 2023, State Employees’ Credit Union (SECU) encountered a major disruption when a fire destroyed the interior of their Morehead City branch. Rather than restoring what was lost, SECU saw an opportunity to rethink how their physical space could better serve their members and reflect a modern approach to financial services.

As a not-for-profit financial institution dedicated to communities across North Carolina, SECU was intentional in selecting a partner who understood the importance of blending thoughtful design with operational functionality. Together with Steelcase, we developed a future-ready interior that goes beyond traditional branch design.
