Three Sides of the Triangle: How Design Research is Shaping the Health, Resiliency, and Smart Growth of a Region
This one-day symposium aims to bring many diverse voices together around the translation of design research into solutions for three broad domains of the Triangle’s present and future challenges:health and well-being, climate change and resiliency, and urban growth.Sharing and deliberation by guest designers, planners, care providers, corporate executives, educators, and policymakers will provide an opportunity to learn about and influence a region built on research.Presenters and participants will navigate nuances of policy and planning and strategize across topics to strengthen a community that continues to rank among the top five places to live in the United States.Come hear what practitioners are currently doing that makes the Research Triangle a model for other regions by performing and implementing design research at several scales.
